Description

Design and maintain scalable, secure APIs and cloud-based services within an AWS environment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure APIs using Spring Boot and AWS services.
• Implement ETL pipelines and real-time data processing solutions using Kafka.
• Architect, monitor, and optimize cloud applications using Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and SNS/SQS.
• Enhance automated testing frameworks covering unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in Agile ceremonies.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of software engineering experience focusing on API development, ETL, and automation.
• Expertise in AWS services including Lambda, EC2, RDS, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and SNS/SQS.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, and JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database query optimization.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, AWS Aurora, and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB or MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar streaming platforms.
• Proficiency in data scripting using Python and Shell scripting.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
