Description

You will manage the state, availability, and health of Amazon cloud infrastructure.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage site availability, latency, and system health while troubleshooting performance issues.
• Configure and tune monitoring environments and alert strategies in production.
• Handle server and software vulnerability management, including patching and upgrades.
• Develop configuration scripts and implement automation for AWS-hosted infrastructure.
• Execute backup/restore operations, provision new servers, and configure firewalls.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in IT.
• 3+ years of experience provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems on AWS.
• Associate Level AWS Certification (Solutions Architect, DevOps, or SysOps).
• Experience managing security groups, NACLs, Transit Gateways, Load Balancers, S3, and EC2.
• Experience managing mission-critical database infrastructure, including on-premise, EC2-hosted, and RDS.
• Fluency in Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation or Terraform with JSON/YAML.
• Experience implementing automation in a production environment.
• Proficiency with basic Git terminology and commands.
• Experience using enterprise-grade site and log monitoring software.

Preferred Skills

• Fluency in at least one scripting language and writing Lambda functions.
• Working knowledge of Palo Alto firewall and SilverPeak SD-WAN technology.
