Description

You will lead the architecture and modernization of enterprise cloud migration projects.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Own the refinement and improvement of enterprise cloud migration architecture.
• Design migration plans, selecting between replatforming or refactoring strategies.
• Architect and develop reference architecture for migrating legacy Java/J2EE applications.
• Modify Java code to integrate with AWS services, potentially decomposing monoliths into microservices.
• Define disaster recovery mechanisms and ensure architectural compliance with leadership.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience migrating applications to the AWS platform.
• Strong expertise in Java programming and J2EE frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, JSF).
• Expertise in containerization technologies, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Solid understanding of AWS architecture, including EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, API Gateway, and Lambda.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices for CI/CD implementation.
• Experience with database migration strategies across various systems.

• Strong problem-solving skills for distributed, cloud-based environments.
