Description

Modernize Java/J2EE applications by migrating and re-architecting them for AWS cloud-native environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture refinement for enterprise cloud migration projects.
• Design migration plans, selecting between replatforming or refactoring strategies.
• Architect reference architectures for legacy Java/J2EE teams.
• Refactor monolithic Java code into microservices integrated with AWS services.
• Define disaster recovery mechanisms and optimize designs for cost efficiency.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience migrating applications to AWS.
• Strong Java programming skills with J2EE frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, JSF).
• Expertise in containerization using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/ECS).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools: AWS CloudFormation, SAM, or Terraform.
• Solid experience moving workloads from on-premises servers to AWS.
• Deep understanding of AWS architecture concepts and service selection (EC2, S3, RDS, API Gateway, Lambda).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and database migration strategies.
