Description

You will design, deploy, and manage highly available, scalable database solutions within AWS environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage scalable database solutions on AWS using EC2, RDS, and S3.
• Implement IAM policies and security measures to protect database environments.
• Automate database provisioning, configuration, and management using Python and Terraform.
• Monitor operational health and performance using Splunk and Datadog.
• Perform database performance tuning and maintain technical documentation.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience as a Database Engineer or in a similar cloud-focused role.
• Expertise in SQL Server, Always On clusters, and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency with Python for automating routine database platform operations.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Strong knowledge of AWS services including IAM, EC2, RDS, and S3.
• Experience using observability tools such as Splunk and Datadog.
• Experience working within an Agile environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing Oracle databases.
