Description

Design, deploy, and manage highly available, scalable database solutions on AWS platforms.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage scalable database solutions using AWS services including EC2, RDS, and S3.
• Automate database provisioning, configuration, and management using Python and Terraform.
• Implement IAM policies and security measures to protect database environments.
• Monitor system health and performance using Splunk and Datadog.
• Perform database performance tuning and maintain clear technical documentation.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience as a Database Engineer or in a similar role.
• Expertise in SQL Server and Always On clusters.
• Extensive knowledge of PostgreSQL.
• Strong programming skills in Python for automation.
• Proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Experience managing AWS services including IAM, EC2, RDS, and S3.
• Hands-on experience with observability tools such as Splunk and Datadog.
• Experience working within an Agile environment.
• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle databases.
