Description

Manage and optimize database environments within AWS, focusing on migration, resiliency, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Execute data migrations from on-premises environments to RDS, Snowflake, and Redshift.
• Design and implement High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HADR) solutions using replication across AZs and Regions.
• Automate database tasks and migrations using Python, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
• Maintain service resiliency and monitoring through CloudWatch and AWS IAM integration.
• Participate in a follow-the-sun support rotation, including weekend shifts across US, London, and India time zones.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience managing AWS databases and RDS.
• Proficiency with MySQL, Postgres, Aurora Postgres, and MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience with AWS CLI, S3, DMS, and AWS SDK.
• Knowledge of NoSQL services including DynamoDB, DocumentDB, Neptune, and OpenSearch.
• Experience with AWS Glue, MWAA, Airflow, and EKS/ECR.
• Practical use of Python, Terraform, and CloudFormation for automation.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation within AWS.
• Experience with AWS IAM and integration with AWS Identity Center.
• Competency in managing Redshift, Snowflake, and Redis.

Preferred Skills

• Experience migrating on-premises data into Snowflake or Redshift.
• Background in DevOps and automation/monitoring within AWS environments.
