Description

Manage and optimize cloud database environments within an AWS ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery (HADR) solutions involving replication across Availability Zones and Regions.
• Execute data migrations from on-premises environments to RDS, S3, Snowflake, and Redshift.
• Automate database migrations and infrastructure provisioning using DevOps practices.
• Manage service resiliency and integration with AWS IAM and AWS Identity Center.
• Participate in a follow-the-sun support rotation, including weekend shifts.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience with AWS databases and cloud database management.
• Proficiency with RDS (Postgres, MySQL, Aurora Postgres) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, Neptune, OpenSearch).
• Hands-on expertise with Python, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
• Experience with AWS services including S3, DMS, CloudWatch, AWS SDK, Redshift, and Snowflake.
• Knowledge of ETL tools and workflows using MWAA, Airflow, and AWS Glue.
• Experience with EKS, ECR, Lambda, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of streaming/messaging architectures and load balancing.

Preferred Skills

• Experience migrating on-premises data specifically into Snowflake or Redshift.
• Advanced automation experience within AWS environments.
