Description

You will lead the migration of on-premises Oracle and SQL Server databases to AWS RDS and convert specific workloads to PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

  • Migrate on-premises Oracle and SQL Server databases to AWS RDS environments.
  • Convert existing database schemas and data to PostgreSQL formats.
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize AWS RDS instances.
  • Utilize AWS Database Migration Service and Schema Conversion Tool for data transfers.
  • Collaborate with in-house database support teams to ensure smooth transitions.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in database migration and cloud engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
  • Proficiency with AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) and Schema Conversion Tool (SCT).
  • Working knowledge of AWS services: EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.
  • Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Ability to perform in-person interviews in Chelsea, MA.

Preferred Skills

  • AWS Certified Database Specialty certification.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.
