Description

You will lead the assessment and migration of legacy infrastructure, including VB.NET, MS Access, and MS SQL Server, to AWS. You will design the target cloud architecture with a focus on scalability, security, and cost optimization. You will define migration strategies, such as lift-and-shift or re-platforming, and develop a phased execution plan to minimize operational disruption. You will build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools. You will oversee the actual migration process, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and readiness assessments for migrating legacy systems like VB.NET and MS Access to AWS.
• Design target cloud architectures that prioritize scalability, performance, security, and compliance.
• Define migration strategies and create phased plans to execute the lift-and-shift or re-platforming of workloads.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, and Harness to automate server and environment provisioning.
• Lead the migration execution, coordinating with teams to ensure data integrity and minimal service disruption.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and migration projects.
• Strong proficiency with AWS services and cloud architecture patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, Ansible, and Harness.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell and Git version control.
• Experience assessing and migrating legacy systems, specifically MS Access, MS SQL Server, and VB.NET.
• Ability to create detailed migration plans and technical reports.
