Description

Build and maintain testing and certification environments while supporting the migration of internal cloud infrastructure to AWS.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build out testing and certification environments using Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Implement automated deployment pipelines ensuring all changes go through validation, testing, and deployment phases.
• Manage infrastructure using blueprints to ensure environments can be spun up and torn down with state maintenance.
• Ensure full observability and instrumentation of all infrastructure and applications.
• Perform software and system performance analysis, tuning, and service capacity planning.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Strong Java core programming and development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience designing high-volume data streaming systems (e.g., 500M messages a day).
• Proficiency with Kafka, Flink, ELK Stack, and EMR.
• Experience running multi-node Flink clusters on Docker containers and EKS.
• Deep knowledge of NoSQL and relational databases including Cassandra, Aurora DB, MySQL, ElastiCache, and Redis.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, CloudWatch, and Grafana.
• Strong Linux scripting and environment management skills.
• Experience with TDD, code testability standards, and JUnit/Mockito.
• Background in Big Data architectures and Domain Driven Design (DDD).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with development and test automation frameworks like BDD and Cucumber.
