Description

Manage AWS account configurations, compliance, and resource optimization within a managed services environment.

Responsibilities

• Establish configuration, compliance, and audit programs to manage AWS accounts and resources.
• Review cloud resource cost drivers, including compute, storage, network, managed services, and database licenses.
• Deploy and optimize Amazon EKS clusters, implementing Kubernetes best practices for auto-scaling, high availability, and fault tolerance.
• Maintain cloud-based servers by patching vulnerabilities, managing backup/restore operations, and provisioning new servers.
• Monitor cost allocations, security compliance, and budgets using AWS Config and CloudTrail to remediate configuration drift.

Required Skills

• 10 years of Cloud Administration experience.
• Extensive experience with AWS and/or Azure public cloud environments.
• Strong system administration expertise in both Linux and Windows environments.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and managing EKS clusters.
• Proficiency with automation frameworks such as SaltStack, Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
• Deep technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, including switches, routers, server operating systems, hardware, and storage arrays.
• Working knowledge of ITIL principles and processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and procedural documentation.
