Key Responsibilities
AWS Cloud Administration
Manage and support AWS accounts, services, and cloud resources
Monitor cloud usage, cost optimization, and resource allocation
Implement and maintain IAM policies, MFA, and security controls
Infrastructure Management
Maintain and support AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFront, and Route 53
Ensure system availability, scalability, patching, and performance optimization
Manage backup strategies, encryption, access controls, and data lifecycle policies
Cloud Strategy & Architecture
Support cloud architecture planning and modernization initiatives
Develop scalable, resilient, and disaster recovery-focused solutions
Provide technical guidance for migration and optimization projects
Operations & Support
Perform system monitoring, health checks, updates, and incident response
Coordinate remediation activities and root cause analysis
Maintain operational documentation and runbooks
Security & Compliance
Ensure adherence to cybersecurity and compliance frameworks including NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP
Support security assessments, audits, and ATO processes
Address compliance and risk findings identified through posture management tools
Maintain documentation related to security controls and compliance evidence
Stakeholder Coordination
Collaborate with IT leadership, internal teams, and external vendors
Provide technical reporting, documentation, and status updates
Serve as a liaison between business and technical stakeholders
Required Qualifications
9+ years of experience in AWS cloud administration, infrastructure, or consulting
Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFront, and Route 53
Experience supporting highly secure or federal/federal-adjacent cloud environments
Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, MFA, and zero-trust principles
Experience with NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP compliance frameworks
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
Required Certifications
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
AWS Certified Security – Specialty
Google Workspace Administrator Professional Certification (Active)
Preferred Qualifications
AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty
CISSP or equivalent certification
CISM or equivalent certification
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise cloud modernization initiatives
Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and operational governance
Bachelor's degree
