Description

You will design and implement data architectures and pipelines within the AWS ecosystem.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines using Glue ETL, Spark, and Airflow.
• Implement security controls using IAM, Lake Formation, KMS, and Secrets Manager.
• Manage infrastructure via Terraform and deploy workloads using EKS and EC2.
• Configure networking components including VPCs, subnets, NAT, and route tables.
• Select appropriate AWS services for specific use cases and build out data platform services.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture or engineering roles.
• Proficiency in Python and Spark.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: Lake Formation, Glue ETL, EMR, S3, Glue Catalog, Athena, QuickSight, Kinesis, MSK, Lambda, and Step Functions.
• Knowledge of data formats: Parquet, Iceberg, Avro, JSON, and JSON-LD.
• Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform.
• Security expertise in IAM, service roles, encryption, and KMS.
• Networking knowledge covering VPCs, subnets, NAT, and route tables.
• DevOps experience with Linux scripting, Jenkins, Git, CI/CD, JIRA, and TDD.
• Container orchestration experience with EKS and EC2.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in Java.
