Description

You will design and implement an AWS-based enterprise data lake to support administrative and operational project teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the AWS data lake architecture and initial tool configurations.
• Develop strategy documents for data ingestion, data modeling, and system administration.
• Create technical frameworks for SDLC, testing environments, and security operating strategies.
• Evaluate AWS services including Lake Formation, S3, Redshift, Athena, and Glue for specific use cases.
• Establish development standards, best practices, and an AWS data lake account strategy.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in data architecture or related roles.
• Deep expertise in AWS data lake setup and configuration.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Redshift, S3, Athena, and Glue.
• Proficiency in AWS security implementation.
• Strong knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with ASP.NET and Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Big Data certification or AWS Architect certification.
• Experience in Higher Education data domains including Finance, Budget, Research, and HR.
