Description

You will own the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable data pipelines on AWS.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement ETL processes using AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and Apache Spark.
• Migrate existing data procedures from the Department of Health and Human Services environment.
• Develop data models and transformation logic for warehousing and analytics.
• Ingest data from diverse sources into Amazon S3, Redshift, or DynamoDB.
• Optimize pipeline performance and cost while troubleshooting bottlenecks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years as a Data Engineer focusing on AWS services.
• Expertise in AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and AWS Spark.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Data Migration Services, AWS RDS, S3, Redshift, and DynamoDB.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java for data processing.
• Deep understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
