Description

You will design and maintain scalable cloud data platforms and pipelines within the AWS ecosystem.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data pipelines to build data lakes using EC2, S3, Lambda, Glue, DynamoDB, Redshift, and Kinesis.
• Manage PostgreSQL RDS environments, including file organization, indexing, security procedures, and backup/recovery workflows.
• Develop database objects such as tables, views, indexes, and constraints for the data platform and custom applications.
• Monitor database performance, plan capacity, and troubleshoot system issues or script conflicts.
• Collaborate with Cloud Architects to define storage methods, access patterns, and integration for relational and NoSQL databases.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or database management.
• Deep expertise with PostgreSQL and RDS/Aurora.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including Redshift, Glue, EC2, S3, and Lambda.
• Proficiency with NoSQL databases and DynamoDB.
• Experience building data lakes and data warehouse/data-mart constructs.
• Knowledge of AWS Database Migration Services and EMR.
• Ability to document system requirements, workflows, and logical processes.
• Experience with data modeling to support business intelligence tools.
