Description

You will design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and platforms within an AWS cloud environment. You own the full lifecycle of data orchestration, from ETL implementation to continuous delivery.

Responsibilities

• Build and debug data pipelines using Python or Java in a large corporate environment.
• Implement AWS data services for ETL processes and data orchestration.
• Manage data security using IAM, encryption, KMS, and Secrets Manager.
• Perform statistical data analysis to identify appropriate tools and data patterns.
• Apply automation and continuous delivery methods across the full Software Development Life Cycle.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of applied experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency in Python or Java.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including S3, Glue ETL or EMR, Glue Catalog, Athena, and Lake Formation.
• Experience with Kinesis or MSK, and Airflow or Lambda with Step Functions and Event Bridge.
• Expertise in at least two data formats: Parquet, Iceberg, Avro, or JSON-LD.
• Strong SQL skills with experience in MySQL or Oracle DB.
• Knowledge of AWS security concepts including IAM, Service roles, and KMS.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and application resiliency.
• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Snowflake.
• Background in building Data Lakes, Data Platforms, or Data as a Service frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of financial services industry IT systems.
