Description

You will build and maintain data pipelines and platforms within an AWS cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, debug, and maintain code for data processing within a large corporate environment.
• Implement cloud data services using AWS Glue, EMR, Lambda, and Step Functions.
• Manage data serialization and deserialization using formats like Parquet, Iceberg, Avro, or JSON-LD.
• Apply security protocols including IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, and Lake Formation.
• Automate workflows using Airflow, Event Bridge, or CI/CD methods.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of applied experience in software engineering or data engineering.
• Proficiency in Java or Python.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: S3, Glue ETL, Glue Catalog, Athena, Kinesis, or MSK.
• Experience with SQL-based technologies such as MySQL or Oracle DB.
• Practical knowledge of Lake Formation and AWS security concepts.
• Expertise in at least two data formats: Parquet, Iceberg, Avro, or JSON-LD.
• Understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Snowflake.
• Knowledge of financial services industry IT systems.
• Background in building Data Lakes, Data Platforms, or Data as a Service frameworks.
