Description

You will lead the design and implementation of a state-controlled AWS Lakehouse environment to provide access to de-identified law enforcement data.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a CJIS-compliant Data Lake and Lakehouse architecture within AWS.
• Develop security layers using IAM roles, processes, and templates.
• Build data ingestion pipelines for MySQL, SQL Server, SaaS applications, and file shares.
• Create ELT processes to move data from S3 to Redshift and design templates for future scaling.
• Implement data cataloging solutions using AWS Glue to manage schema drift and metadata.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or architecture.
• Expertise in AWS Lakehouse technologies and architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Redshift and AWS Athena.
• Proficiency with AWS Glue, including Data Catalog and Crawler implementation.
• Strong knowledge of AWS IAM for designing security templates and roles.
• Experience managing data ingestion from MySQL, SQL Server, and file stores.
• Ability to work within CJIS certified data storage and security requirements.
• Experience designing scalable S3-based storage layers.
