Description

You will lead data engineering solutions on AWS, owning the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines and microservices.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data pipelines using AWS Glue and Apache Spark.
• Develop and maintain microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
• Manage streaming data ingestion and processing using Kafka and Kinesis.
• Deploy and operate services within container orchestration environments like Kubernetes or ECS.
• Write technical design documents and UML diagrams for data solutions.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Expert proficiency in Java and Core Java/J2EE (Spring, Hibernate, MVC).
• Hands-on experience building and deploying Microservices architectures.
• Strong working knowledge of AWS services, including Glue, Kinesis, Lambda, and MSK.
• Proficiency with Kafka and other messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ).
• Experience with SQL and MySQL databases, including writing complex queries.
• Familiarity with container orchestration systems (Kubernetes or ECS).
• Experience with Git, Maven, and testing frameworks (JUnit/Spock/Groovy).
• Understanding of Design Patterns and Design Principles.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with UML diagramming for technical design documentation.
