Description

You will provide production support and administration for SQL Server environments hosted in AWS.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain RDBMS structures to support business needs and application development.
• Coordinate, review, and approve physical database requirements and associated objects.
• Manage VLDB migrations to AWS and Azure environments.
• Perform database performance tuning, capacity planning, and partitioning.
• Manage multiple database instances and participate in a 24-hour on-call support rotation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in the design, creation, and maintenance of database structures.
• 5+ years of experience with systems development methodologies.
• 5+ years of experience with SQL Server (2008, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017) in AWS.
• 3+ years of experience with AWS/Azure VLDB environments.
• 3+ years of experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL (version 12 or higher).
• Experience with OLTP, transaction processing, or healthcare environments.
• Proficiency with Docker images for database building and migration.
• B.S. degree or equivalent work experience with RDBMS.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
• Strong communication skills to follow tasks through to completion.
