Description

You will lead the discovery, assessment, and execution of large-scale database migrations from Oracle to PostgreSQL using AWS infrastructure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Review existing workflow migration automation, database migration strategies, and performance tooling to identify gaps and limitations.
• Enhance migration tooling architecture to minimize downtime and support larger database sizes.
• Execute end-to-end tests of automation tooling and develop comprehensive runbooks for Waves 2, 3, and 4.
• Support customer migration planning, cohort analysis, and solution documentation for continuous improvement.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or database engineering.
• Strong expertise in AWS database services and infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Proficiency in Apache Kafka for data streaming and migration.
• Experience with Oracle to PostgreSQL migration patterns.
• Knowledge of Debezium for Change Data Capture (CDC).
• Experience with Java and Helm for deployment automation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle GoldenGate.
