Description

You will manage and optimize database infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability and performance for critical workloads.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain AWS RDS, EC2, and Aurora environments, including SQL Server and MySQL instances.
• Perform proactive performance tuning and query optimization to resolve bottlenecks and improve throughput.
• Lead production support and incident management, executing backup, restore, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Automate database operations and infrastructure tasks using Python and PowerShell scripting.
• Monitor system health, implement security patches, and ensure compliance with operational standards.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of overall IT experience with 5+ years dedicated to DBA support.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services, specifically RDS, EC2, and Aurora.
• Deep expertise in SQL Server and MySQL administration, configuration, and maintenance.
• Strong proficiency in performance tuning, query optimization, and execution plan analysis.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python and PowerShell.
• Proven track record in production support, incident response, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with database backup strategies, disaster recovery, and data integrity checks.
