Description

You will manage and architect database layer solutions within AWS environments. You will own the full lifecycle of MySQL infrastructure, from installation and configuration to high-availability design and failover automation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-availability database solutions with automated failover mechanisms.
• Handle installation, upgrades, configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting for MySQL environments.
• Manage database schema migrations, data sharding, and tailored database automation.
• Execute routine maintenance, backups, recovery procedures, and periodic health checks.
• Develop source code for database scripts and maintain continuous integration environments.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in database administration.
• Extensive hands-on experience with MySQL.
• Proven experience administering databases within AWS.
• Proficiency in database troubleshooting and performance auditing.
• Experience with backup and recovery management in cloud or on-premise environments.
• Ability to manage database-related script development and source code.
• Experience with database schema management and migration support.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS Aurora.
