Description

Build and manage data-driven applications within the AWS ecosystem, owning cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and deployment automation.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure using CloudFormation and Terraform.
• Implement data processing pipelines using Apache Spark, Kafka, and Hadoop.
• Manage distributed data storage across DynamoDB, Cassandra, and RDS.
• Automate deployments and monitoring using Jenkins, Docker, and Prometheus.
• Optimize cloud resources including EC2, S3, and Lambda for scalability.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in software or data engineering.
• Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, PySpark), SQL, Java, or Scala.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and Redshift.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps tools: Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Experience with monitoring stacks: Prometheus and Grafana.
• Ability to write efficient Bash scripting for automation.
• Familiarity with data stores: Elasticsearch, Cassandra, DynamoDB, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Must be located in the EST time zone.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certified Data Engineer or Big Data certification.
• Experience with Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
