Description

Implement security policies and automate application configuration for the Wealth Management domain.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Integrate applications to conform to E*TRADE standards using common build, QA, and deployment processes.
• Write and maintain shell, Perl, or Python scripts to automate application configuration and installation.
• Configure and manage Apache, Tomcat, Tuxedo, IBM MQ, and in-house platforms.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and Operations teams to ensure successful application launches.
• Create and maintain documentation supporting the full application life cycle.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Linux/UNIX experience (Red Hat preferred).
• 4+ years of programming/scripting experience (Korn, Bash, Perl, or Python).
• 3+ years of experience with UNIX applications such as Apache and Tomcat.
• 3+ years of experience with UNIX services including system monitoring (SAR), routing, DNS, LDAP, and NTP.
• Experience deploying applications in the Cloud (Azure, AWS).
• Proficiency with monitoring tools (Nagios, Big Panda, ITRS Geneos) and Atlassian applications (Confluence, JIRA).
• Experience with source control (git, Subversion, Bitbucket) and networking/database concepts.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in UNIX or Linux.
• Experience with End-of-Life (EOL) OS remediation.
