Description

Design, code, test, and deploy cloud infrastructure services and nodes to support micro-services. Engineer performance and scale for data services, focusing on high availability and multi-site replication. Automate daily systems operations and troubleshoot platform issues to implement long-term automation.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy cloud infrastructure services using Python, Java, Puppet, Ansible, and Docker.
• Engineer performance and scale for data services, focusing on high availability and multi-site replication.
• Automate daily systems operations using Terraform, Puppet, and Ansible.
• Troubleshoot platform issues and implement long-term automation to prevent repeat failures.
• Participate in on-call rotations for platform-related services.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in infrastructure roles.
• US citizenship is required for work on US Government projects.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform in AWS environments.
• Proven experience developing or implementing configuration management with Ansible.
• Experience with data clustering across multiple data centers.
• Proficiency with Python, Java, Puppet, Ansible, or AWS.
• Experience with data services such as Cassandra, Postgres, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools including Jenkins and GitHub.

Preferred Skills

• Unix/Linux systems proficiency including CLI for log and status checking.
• Development experience in Python, Ruby, Java, or Go.
• Experience with Elasticsearch or RabbitMQ.
