Description

You will own cloud cost optimization strategies and financial governance for AWS environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute cost optimization strategies to minimize resource waste.
• Establish forecasting, budgeting processes, and financial governance policies.
• Conduct regular audits of AWS billing processes and vendor contract discussions.
• Create custom cost review dashboards and define maturity targets for transparency.
• Provide recommendations on purchasing strategies and spending limits.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in cloud financial optimization.
• Extensive knowledge of AWS billing structures, pricing models, and services.
• Proficiency with AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, and the AWS Billing Console.
• Experience defining and implementing tagging policies and cost allocation strategies.
• Strong understanding of financial controls and cross-functional implementation.
• Basic scripting skills in Python or Bash.
• Proficiency in reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and finance teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automation tools including Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
