Description

Leads end-to-end delivery of full stack solutions using React, Java Spring Boot, and AWS services, from design through production support.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture and design reviews, defining service boundaries, API contracts, data models, and integration patterns.
• Develop secure, production-grade code and enforce engineering standards through thorough code reviews.
• Build highly available and scalable services with strong operational excellence, including reliability, performance, and cost awareness.
• Implement and govern authentication/authorization using OIDC/OAuth2, token validation, and service-to-service security.
• Establish observability practices and incident response readiness, including structured logging, metrics, and runbooks.

Required Skills

• 10+ years applied full stack engineering experience delivering production systems, with senior/lead technical leadership.
• React expertise: modern patterns, TypeScript, state management, component design, and performance optimization.
• Java Spring Boot expertise: API building, dependency injection, validation, error handling, and performance tuning.
• GraphQL proficiency: schema design, resolvers, federation, query performance optimization, and API governance.
• REST proficiency: OpenAPI contract design, pagination, idempotency, and consumer-driven API evolution.
• AWS hands-on experience: IAM, networking, and operational tooling for cloud-native applications.
• Data layer expertise: AWS Aurora PostgreSQL (advanced SQL, indexing) and AWS Neptune (Gremlin, graph modeling).
• Event-driven systems: AWS MSK (Kafka) topics, consumer groups, schema evolution, and idempotency.
• AI-assisted engineering: Demonstrated proficiency using Claude Code or GitHub Copilot for development and debugging.

Preferred Skills

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation/CDK) and deployment automation.
• Containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS/EKS).
