Description

Design and maintain hybrid network environments integrating on-premises Cisco infrastructure with AWS cloud services.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and optimize AWS networking components including VPCs, subnets, route tables, and security groups.
  • Implement network security best practices using network security groups, ACLs, and protective features.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot on-premises Cisco hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Manage traffic distribution using Amazon CloudFront, Elastic Load Balancing, and Amazon Route 53.
  • Monitor network performance and usage trends to ensure high availability, low latency, and cost-effective scaling.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience managing LAN/WAN networks, including at least 2 years as a Network Engineer.
  • Proven experience designing and managing AWS network environments.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification.
  • AWS Certified Advanced Networking certification.
  • Advanced knowledge of routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EIGRP, RIP, PBR, and Static Routing.
  • Expertise in switching technologies: VLAN, 802.1D, 802.1Q, 802.1X, VTP, and Multilayer switching.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco hardware: 7200/2901 Routers, PIX/ASA Firewalls, 2900/3500/3560 Switches, and CSS 11500.
  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP, DNS, RADIUS, and LDAP.
  • Experience configuring VPNs, IPSec, HSRP/VRRP, and NAT.

Preferred Skills

  • Develop automation scripts and templates for network provisioning and scaling using AWS CloudFormation or other IaC tools.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science
