Description

Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of an AWS-based observability platform.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain observability solutions using OpenSearch, Grafana, and Prometheus on AWS.
• Manage infrastructure as code by developing Terraform modules and managing state to provision resources.
• Configure OpenSearch for centralized logging and build search indices for monitoring and alerting.
• Set up Prometheus to collect and store metrics from AWS services and application workloads.
• Integrate Grafana to build dashboards and alerting mechanisms using data from Prometheus and OpenSearch.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and observability.
• Proficiency in Terraform for managing AWS resources and modules.
• Hands-on experience with AWS OpenSearch (Elasticsearch), Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Experience with AWS services including CloudWatch, EC2, VPC, IAM, and Lambda.
• Knowledge of Prometheus exporters and scraping metrics from AWS and applications.
• Expertise in managing logs, metrics, and tracing.
• Ability to create visualizations and alerts within Grafana.
• Understanding of AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, and security groups.
• Scripting experience using Python or Bash for task automation.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
• Experience using Helm charts to deploy Prometheus and Grafana in containerized environments.
• Experience with AWS Lambda for custom log processing or metrics extraction.
