Description

You will drive the migration from Teradata to AWS Redshift and architect cloud data warehouse solutions.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect solutions centered around AWS Redshift and other cloud database technologies.
• Execute advanced performance tuning for AWS Redshift environments.
• Develop and implement migration strategies to transition legacy Teradata systems to the public cloud.
• Shape enterprise public cloud database strategy and standardization efforts.
• Utilize third-party monitoring tools to ensure database health and performance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of database engineering experience.
• Expert-level AWS Redshift administration and performance tuning.
• Proven experience in database architecture and solution design.
• Direct experience managing migrations from Teradata to AWS.
• Knowledge of database technologies running on AWS to support enterprise standardization.
• Strong ability to strategize across multiple database types.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with hybrid cloud technologies and on-premise vs. cloud infrastructure strategies.
• Hands-on experience with Cockroach, Couchbase, Aurora, Cassandra, or PostgreSQL.
