Description

You will design, implement, and maintain security controls to protect AWS cloud infrastructure and data.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain security architecture including network security, IAM, data encryption, and threat detection.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to mitigate risks.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, performing forensic investigations and implementing response procedures.
• Participate in the SDLC through code reviews, security testing, and pipeline management.
• Develop automated security testing tools and train engineers on writing secure code for AWS environments.

Required Skills

• 13+ years of professional experience in engineering or enterprise system administration.
• Deep understanding of AWS security services: IAM, VPC, S3, KMS, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, and Security Hub.
• Expertise in network segmentation, encryption, identity management, and data protection.
• Experience with security assessments, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python and PowerShell.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Cloud Security Engineer Specialty or AWS Cloud Security Architect Professional certifications.
• Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
• Master's degree.
