Description

You will own security hardening and forensic analysis within AWS environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage VPC infrastructure, including CIDR planning and route tables.
• Review and remediate security posture, focusing on IAM least privilege and trust boundaries.
• Conduct forensic reviews of IAM and CloudTrail logs to identify unauthorized access or persistence.
• Analyze and address configuration drift and unintended exposure in production resources.
• Deconstruct and clean up complex security risks, including overlapping CIDRs and rogue configurations.

Required Skills

• 13+ years of professional experience in cloud security.
• Deep expertise in IAM, covering roles, policies, and trust relationships.
• Expertise in VPC design, including Security Groups, NACLs, and VPN configurations.
• Proficiency in analyzing CloudTrail and using AWS Config to audit configurations.
• Experience reasoning about potential attack paths and security gaps.
• Ability to perform comprehensive security group sprawl and dependency audits.
• Familiarity with AWS services like VPC endpoints and resource policies.
• Proven experience cleaning up compromised or misconfigured AWS environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automated remediation of security findings.
• Background in incident response within AWS.
