Description

You will manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure and hybrid environments for the Glasgow team.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement AWS cloud-based solution architectures.
• Monitor and troubleshoot AWS systems for availability, performance, reliability, and security using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.
• Automate infrastructure deployments using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Maintain cloud network configurations, network diagrams, and infrastructure status reporting.
• Manage disaster recovery architecture, including planning and deployment.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud infrastructure and system engineering.
• Hands-on administration of AWS services including EC2, VPC, S3, Lambda, Connect, Databases, KMS, and Direct Connect.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux system administration.
• Experience with Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and hybrid deployments.
• Strong knowledge of federated identity systems, Microsoft ADFS, and MFA.
• Expertise in PowerShell, PowerShell Workflow, and troubleshooting via PowerShell ISE.
• Experience managing core network services including DNS, DHCP, and DFS.
• Knowledge of IT security risks and AWS security services.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS solutions in enterprise or hosting environments.
