Description

You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert for AWS infrastructure, leading cloud migrations and managing complex multi-account environments. You will own the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of AWS services, ensuring secure and efficient operations across hybrid landscapes.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud migrations and implementations in complex multi-account AWS environments.
• Design and manage AWS Landing Zones using AWS Landing Zone Accelerator.
• Troubleshoot deep connectivity issues across networking, storage, and compute layers.
• Implement security best practices including IAM policies, encryption, and Service Control Policies.
• Mentor staff and lead architectural reviews for complex business problems.

Required Skills

• Deep knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools: CloudFormation, Terraform, and AWS CDK.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.
• Strong network troubleshooting abilities for on-premises and cloud connectivity.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, ECS, EKS) and serverless architectures.
• 5+ years of experience in AWS architecture or engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Professional-level certification (Solutions Architect – Professional or DevOps Engineer – Professional).
• Experience in government or highly regulated environments (HIPAA, CJIS, IRS 1075).
• Knowledge of ITIL, PMP, Agile, and enterprise IT governance frameworks.
