Description

Design, develop, and implement complex cloud solutions and microservices architectures on AWS.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Guide design and architecture discussions to meet business goals and optimize costs.
• Lead migrations of large on-premises databases to cloud platforms and manage PaaS to IaaS transitions.
• Own the development of IaC templates for subnets, security groups, and EC2 instances.
• Mentor engineers on development practices, including code reviews, automated testing, and documentation.
• Implement disaster recovery plans and automate work processes such as deployment pipelines.

Required Skills

• 8-10 years of relevant experience in AWS, with 4-5 years specifically as an Architect or Solution Architect.
• Active AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional level or higher.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Expertise in containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in scripting with Python, Groovy, Shell, or Java.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, SonarQube, or Twistlock.
• Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, Salt, or Puppet.
• Ability to work on a 24/7 weekly rotation basis.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GCP services including Cloud Functions, PowerShell, and GKE.
