Description

You will design and automate database infrastructure and cloud-to-on-premises replication workflows.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Architect and code database infrastructure deployments using Terraform modules.
• Develop Python Lambda functions for quarterly audits and daily RDS health checks across multiple AWS accounts.
• Automate PostgreSQL infrastructure deployment and on-premises server tasks using Ansible.
• Manage database replication workflows between cloud and on-premises environments.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional IT experience.
• Deep understanding of AWS services including RDS, S3, Athena, ECS, Lambda, AWS Organizations, and IAM policy setup.
• Proficiency in writing Terraform modules for database services.
• Strong Python skills for automation via Lambda.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible for infrastructure automation.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and PL/pgSQL functions.
• Experience with PostgreSQL BDR and pgBackRest.
• Competency in cloud and on-premises replication workflows.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with multi-account AWS governance strategies.
