Description

Design and manage scalable AWS infrastructure while leading Kubernetes platform engineering and TIBCO cloud migration initiatives.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect and provision secure AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM) aligned with the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Deploy, configure, and operate Amazon EKS clusters, implementing namespace management, RBAC, autoscaling, and resource quotas.
• Define infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation and establish CI/CD pipelines for provisioning and deployments.
• Lead the discovery, assessment, and migration of on-premises TIBCO components (BusinessWorks, EMS, Spotfire) to cloud-native alternatives.
• Maintain Helm charts and manage GitOps workflows (ArgoCD/Flux) while integrating observability tooling like Prometheus and CloudWatch.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on experience architecting and managing AWS infrastructure in production.
• 3+ years managing EKS or self-managed Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
• Proficiency with Terraform (preferred) or AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure-as-code.
• Strong Linux systems administration and shell scripting skills (Bash, Python).
• Solid understanding of AWS networking (VPC, subnets, security groups, VPN, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway).
• Experience with container technologies including Docker, Helm, and container registries.
• Familiarity with TIBCO products (BusinessWorks, EMS, Spotfire) and experience migrating middleware to cloud-native solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of cloud-native messaging services (Amazon MQ, MSK, SQS/SNS, EventBridge) and GitOps tools.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD).
• Exposure to service mesh technologies such as Istio or AWS App Mesh.
