Description

Design and architect cloud solutions to support cross-domain business capabilities and drive migrations from legacy systems to private and public clouds.

Responsibilities

• Produce conceptual, solution, and component-level architectures and associated artifacts.
• Develop transition and target state architectures using AWS and private cloud services.
• Migrate legacy applications to cloud environments using established design patterns.
• Build common components for shared business capabilities following industry standards.
• Provide mentorship on emergent architecture and guide technical teams through complex technology decisions.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in technical architecture and development.
• Deep expertise in AWS services including Lambda, EC2, S3, EKS, RDS, SQS, DynamoDB, and SNS.
• Hands-on experience with AWS networking: VPCs, Subnets, Security Groups, Transit Gateway, ALB/NLB, Route53, and API Gateway.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or Golang.
• Extensive experience with containerization using Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS/ECR.
• Proven ability in "code first" infrastructure management using Terraform and GitLab.
• Practical knowledge of security protocols including mTLS, x509, OpenID Connect, JWT, OAuth2, and SAML.
• Deep understanding of networking protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, and HTTP.
• Experience implementing microservices, event-driven, and REST architecture patterns.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kafka, Spring, Redis, OpenShift, or Guidewire.
• Experience working within the SAFe framework or similar agile methodologies.
