Description

You will engineer, operate, and optimize AWS WAF, Firewall Manager policies, bot mitigation controls, and Shield Advanced protections for business-critical applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Support threat detection, rule tuning, log analysis, and response activities across application workloads.
• Create and maintain WAF policies, rule groups, and bot-mitigation controls across multi-account environments.
• Execute rapid rule tuning and mitigation actions during real-time incident response.
• Maintain and enhance security controls embedded in the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Provide advanced technical guidance to application teams to ensure alignment with enterprise cloud standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with AWS WAF, AWS Firewall Manager, AWS Common Bot Control, and AWS Shield Advanced.
• Strong proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Hands-on experience with Splunk for log analysis and threat detection.
• Proficiency in ServiceNow for incident and change management.
• Solid understanding of application-layer security, OWASP Top 10 threats, and L7 DDoS patterns.
• Ability to analyze bot traffic patterns and tune mitigation controls.
• Experience integrating security controls into the SDLC process.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with multi-account AWS environments.
