Description

Lead public cloud initiatives and design resilient, secure platforms within the AWS ecosystem.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Execute software design, development, and technical troubleshooting for complex systems.
• Drive the strategy for utilizing Amazon Web Services including EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, EKS, and ECS.
• Design, build, and optimize web environments using ALB, NLB, Aurora Postgres, DynamoDB, and Route53.
• Automate routine tasks and provide primary operational support for the public cloud platform.
• Conduct resiliency tests, game days, and chaos engineering exercises.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in a software engineering role.
• Advanced proficiency in Java (version 8+), Python, or Go.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, S3, EKS, ECS, DynamoDB, ALB, NLB, and SQS/SNS.
• Experience with Spring Boot and RESTful microservices.
• Proficiency in SQL and working with RDBMS or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of programming languages including Node, Scala, or Ruby.
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or Jenkins.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in public cloud migrations of complex systems.
• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
