Description

Lead the design and implementation of data solutions using AWS and Snowflake, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security across the platform.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data warehousing solutions using AWS and Snowflake.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions, focusing on insurance claims and loss processes.
• Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing performance for analytics and warehousing workloads.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Handle coding, debugging, performance tuning, and deployment of applications to production environments.

Required Skills

• 6-8+ years of experience in Data Engineering with a focus on AWS and Snowflake.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark for data ingestion and processing.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: Glue, EMR, S3, Aurora, RDS, and general AWS architecture.
• Deep understanding of Big Data concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git) and CI/CD pipeline practices.
• Familiarity with Data Vault 2.0, data migration, and data governance/security practices.
