Description

You will design, secure, and manage APIs using Azure API Management and Azure API Center, owning the full lifecycle from design to deployment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement APIM policies for authentication, authorization, rate limiting, caching, and error handling.
• Configure Azure API Center for API cataloging, governance, and lifecycle visibility.
• Automate infrastructure and configuration using Terraform for APIM and API Center.
• Build CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps for API deployments.
• Integrate APIM with Azure services including Functions, Logic Apps, App Services, and Key Vault.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Azure API Management (APIM).
• Practical experience with Azure API Center for governance and cataloging.
• Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Experience with CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of API security standards: OAuth2, Azure AD, JWT validation, and mTLS.
• Proficiency with OpenAPI/Swagger for API design.
• Experience monitoring and tuning performance using Application Insights.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure Landing Zones and enterprise API governance patterns.
• Knowledge of Azure ApiOps workflows and developer portals.
