Description

You will manage and optimize the full lifecycle of APIs within the Azure ecosystem.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage APIs, policies, products, and subscriptions within Azure API Management.
• Design and implement API governance frameworks, including security, throttling, and caching policies.
• Integrate APIM with backend services such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and App Services.
• Develop and maintain well-documented API contracts using OpenAPI specifications.
• Implement high availability and disaster recovery architectures for APIM deployments.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience working with Azure API Management (APIM).
• In-depth knowledge of RESTful API design, resource modeling, and URI design.
• Proficiency in creating API policies, policy fragments, and using policy expressions.
• Experience with OpenAPI (Swagger) for API description and contract definition.
• Strong understanding of OAuth, JWT, and API key authentication mechanisms.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory (AAD) and Azure Key Vault.
• Knowledge of integrating GraphQL APIs with Azure API Management.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Azure Bicep.
• Proficiency in managing configurations via Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with hybrid backend integration patterns and API gateways.
