Description

You will manage the full lifecycle of APIs using Azure API Management to ensure secure, scalable, and well-governed connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage APIs, policies, products, and subscriptions within Azure API Management.
• Design and implement API governance frameworks and custom policies for security, throttling, and transformation.
• Develop RESTful APIs using OpenAPI specifications and define clear API contracts.
• Integrate APIM with backend services and Azure cloud services like Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and App Services.
• Implement high availability and disaster recovery architectures for APIM deployments.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience with Azure API Management (APIM).
• Deep knowledge of RESTful API design, resource modeling, and URI design.
• Proficiency in creating API policies using expressions, conditions, and policy fragments.
• Experience with OpenAPI (Swagger) for API description and contract definition.
• Hands-on experience with GraphQL integration within APIM.
• Knowledge of security protocols including OAuth, JWT, and API keys.
• Experience integrating Azure Active Directory (AAD) for identity and access management.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Azure Bicep.
• Experience with CI/CD principles using Azure DevOps.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure Key Vault and Azure Security Centre.
• Familiarity with hybrid backend integration patterns.
