Description

Lead technical architecture and team direction for large-scale Azure implementations.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team with minimal supervision to deliver architectural solutions.
• Develop and implement data processing workflows using Spark on Synapse.
• Teach team members best practices for object-oriented programming, modularity, and code reusability.
• Articulate complex technical issues and their resolutions to stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience in architecture or senior engineering roles.
• Deep expertise in Scala; you must be a Scala specialist, not a PySpark developer transitioning to the language.
• Extensive experience with Spark and Azure Synapse.
• In-depth understanding of the JVM.
• Strong knowledge of JAR files and Scala-specific development.
• Advanced proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Proven ability to work independently and lead technical teams.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate-level education.
