Description

Lead large-scale SQL Server migrations from on-premises environments to Microsoft Azure, designing cloud architectures for high availability and disaster recovery.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Drive cloud solutioning and architecture for complex SQL Server migration projects.
• Migrate data using DMA, DMS, Azure Data Studio, log shipping, and backup/restore methods.
• Configure SQL Server HA/DR solutions, including Failover Cluster Instances (FCI) and Availability Groups across subnets.
• Manage storage, capacity planning, and the creation of logical and physical data models.
• Provide technical guidance and governance to the team while managing stakeholder requirements.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years focused on Azure Database Migration.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and SQL Server (versions 200x through 2022).
• Hands-on experience with Azure Key Vault, security policies, and resource governance.
• Proficiency in T-SQL scripting and PowerShell automation.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot Windows and SQL Server issues.
• Strong proficiency in both English and Spanish.
• Ability to provide 24x7 support and work flexible shifts.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing, implementing, and operating database systems for performance and reliability in Azure.
• Knowledge of on-premises to cloud upgrades for legacy SQL Server versions.
