Description

Lead cloud infrastructure and container architecture initiatives within Azure environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, including installation, configuration, optimization, and upgrades.
• Implement container networking solutions using Kubenet and advanced network policies like Calico.
• Deploy multi-cluster architectures using service meshes such as Istio, Linkerd, or Traefik.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or ARM templates and manage blue/green deployments.
• Develop complex automation scripts to manage Linux and Windows environments.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 5 years as a lead UNIX/Linux engineer.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes, including node pools, namespaces, autoscaling, and security.
• Strong experience with containerization tools like Docker.
• Proficiency in Terraform or ARM templates for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Advanced scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, Shell/Perl, JSP, or HCL.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools including Chef, Ansible, Jenkins, GIT, and vRA.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols: HTTP, TCP/IP, BGP, ICMP, SSH, and Telnet.
• Knowledge of L4/L7 network layers, load balancers, and proxy servers.
• Experience managing Windows, databases, and cloud-based container architectures.

Preferred Skills

• Azure certification.
• Experience building high-availability Kubernetes clusters on Linux servers.
